Mustafa V. Koç Mr. Koç is Chairman of the Board of Koç Holding Turkey’s largest conglomerate, and one of Europe’s largest companies, a position he has held since April 2003. Koç Holdings, for which Mr. Koç oversees day to day operations, is an industrial conglomerate with major holdings in the energy, consumer durables, automotive and financial sectors. In 2007, the group had consolidated revenues of $39.5 billion. Its sixteen listed subsidiaries account for approximately 14% of the total market capitalization of the companies traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. Prior to being appointed Chairman, Mr. Koç served as Vice Chairman between March 2001 and April 2002. Mr. Koç served as President of the Construction and Mining Group from 1996-2001; Executive Vice President, Construction Group 1994-1996; and Assistant to the President of Industry, Commerce and Energy Group 1992-1994. Mr. Koç is affiliated with numerous organizations including; member of the JP Morgan International Council; The Rolls Royce International Advisory Board; member of the National Bank of Kuwait International Advisory Board; member of the Steering Committee of the Bilderberg Meetings; and Honorary Consul General of Finland to Turkey; member of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce; member Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association; member and President of the Supreme Advisory Council; and Member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board. |
